Around 78.6% voter turnout was recorded during the third phase of the Panchayat polls in Odisha, informed the State Election Commission (SEC) on Monday.

The third phase of the three-tier Panchayat elections in Odisha began today (February 20)

Odisha witnessed 78.3% voters turnout in the second phase of the ongoing panchayat polls held on Friday, informed the SEC on Saturday.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik visited the Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar and reviewed the ongoing redevelopment works under EKAMRA plan.

Polling has begun for 186 Zilla Parishad zones across 30 districts of Odisha in the second phase Panchayat Polls today.

The first phase of Panchayat elections in Odisha saw 77.2% voter turnout with Boudh district polling the highest at 84.7%, followed by Deogarh (83.75) and Angul (82.6), informed the State Election Commission (SEC) on Thursday.

The first round of three-tier panchayat elections begins today in Odisha at 7 a.m. and it will go until 1 p.m.
