Polling are underway at 163 Zilla Parishad zones and 1254 Gram Panchayats. Voting is being held at 17,089 booths in the state.

Police official Smita Majhi, who was engaged in the Hikimput polling booth in Koraput District helped the elderly and Divyang voters reach the booth to cast their vote in the ongoing Panchayat elections.

Polling has begun for 186 Zilla Parishad zones across 30 districts of Odisha in the second phase Panchayat Polls today.

BJD has registered its first victory in 2022 Zilla Parishad Polls after the BJP and Congress candidates withdrew their nominations in the Ambabhona Block Zone-2 in Bargarh.
