The Regional Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a heavy rainfall warning for the people of Odisha for the next three days.

Normal life was thrown out of gear in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack on Saturday as rain lashes since early morning under the influence of a low-pressure area.

A Low Pressure Area has formed over north Odisha and adjoining south Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal.

Sweltering temperature and heat wave conditions continue to hamper daily living and activities in the state of Odisha.

There has been no respite from the extreme heat conditions dubbed as the heat wave across multiple states, and Odisha has been enduring this quite the same.

An upper air cyclonic circulation likely to form over South Andaman Sea & neighbourhood on 06th April, informed the Indian Meteorological Department.

There won't be any impact of the Cyclonic Storm in Odisha, as per the Indian Met Department. Odisha may not witness rainfall or heavy winds too, said the Met Department.

The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar has informed that a low-pressure area to form over Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours.
