Low Pressure

A Low Pressure Area has formed over north Odisha and adjoining south Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal.

Bringing a much-needed relief from the heatwave, a low pressure is expected to affect Odisha.

An upper air cyclonic circulation likely to form over South Andaman Sea & neighbourhood on 06th April, informed the Indian Meteorological Department.

There won't be any impact of the Cyclonic Storm in Odisha, as per the Indian Met Department. Odisha may not witness rainfall or heavy winds too, said the Met Department.

The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar has informed that a low-pressure area to form over Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours.

According to the Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Department, the low pressure area is likely to become more marked and move west-north-westwards during subsequent 48 hours.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted several parts of Odisha to receive rainfall from today till November 19.

The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar has informed in a tweet that a low pressure area is likely to form over Southeast Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood around 9th November.

Cyclonic circulation over the North Andaman Sea and neighbourhood will intensify into low-pressure and then a cyclonic storm.

As the Bay of Bengal is set to experience a series of cyclonic circulations, Odisha will receive heavy rains across the State till September 30.
