BJP has retained the Dhamnagar Assembly seat with party candidate Suryabanshi Suraj defeating BJD candidate Abanti Das by 9,881 votes.

"I will fight for the people of Dhamnagar. I will give a befitting reply to the conspirators," vowed Raju Das.

The BJP has named Late Bishnu Sethi’s son Suryabanshi Suraj as the candidate for Dhamnagar assembly bypoll.

BJD has named Alaka Mohanty, wife of late MLA Kishore Kumar Mohanty as the party's candidate for the assembly bypolls in Brajarajnagar.

Radharani Panda was elected to the Odisha Assembly from Brajarajnagar in 2014, but lost in 2019.
