BSE Sensex rose 262.51 points to 59,297.46 while the NSE Nifty 50 index was up 84 points to open at 17,723.60 in an early trade on Friday.

The 30-share BSE Sensex slipped 337 points or 0.57 per cent to 59,273 in early trade, while the broader NSE Nifty moved 82 points or 0.46 per cent down to 17,726 on Thursday. 

Indian equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty plunged opening on Wednesday with the 30-share BSE Sensex slipped 473 points or 0.79 per cent to 59,704 in early trade.

Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections for March hit an all-time high of Rs 1.42 lakh crore, up 6.8 percent from the previous month.

Sensex jumped to 708.18 points to end at 59,276.69 with Nifty touched 205.70 points to reach at 17,670.45 in the closing bell on Friday. 

The BSE Sensex on Thursday jumped over 127.38 points to reach at 58,811.37 in an early trade while NSE Nifty surged 47.1 points to reach at 17,545.35.

The BSE Sensex closed at 57,943.65, up 350.16 points or 0.61 per cent as it recorded an intraday high of 58,001.53 and a low of 57,639.35.

In early trades, BSE Sensex up around 200 points to reach at  57,800 levels on Tuesday.

BSE Sensex added 231 points or 0.40% to close at 57,5923 on Monday while the NSE Nifty gained 69 points or 0.40% to settle at 17,222.
