Rebel Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Rajendra (Raju) Das who is contesting the Dhamnagar bypoll as an Independent candidate, has released his own Star Campaigners List, which has gone viral on Social Media.

Former Minister Pratap Jena and Odisha SME Minister Samir Ranjan Dash have been excluded from the list of Star Campaigners for Dhamnagar.

In 2019, he was denied a ticket by the Congress owing to some conspiracy within his own party. He joined the BJD and helped Debesh Acharya.

Dhamnagar may witness triangular contest between Abanti Das (BJD), Suryabanshi Suraj (BJD) and Rajendra Das (Independent) unless Raju Das withdraws from the race.

"I will fight for the people of Dhamnagar. I will give a befitting reply to the conspirators," vowed Raju Das.

Tonight is very crucial for the BJD. The party is hopeful of winning over Raju Das with some kind of assurance.

BJD played women card again. The ruling BJD on Wednesday named Tihidi Block Chairperson Abanti Das as its candidate for Dhamnagar Bypoll.
