The voting for the much awaited byelection to the Dhamnagar Assembly constituency in Bhadrak district began on Thursday at 7 am amid tight security.

Raju Das has entered the poll fray as an Independent candidate after being denied a ticket in Dhamnagar Bypoll.

Rebel Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Rajendra (Raju) Das who is contesting the Dhamnagar bypoll as an Independent candidate, has released his own Star Campaigners List, which has gone viral on Social Media.

"I will fight for the people of Dhamnagar. I will give a befitting reply to the conspirators," vowed Raju Das.

Tonight is very crucial for the BJD. The party is hopeful of winning over Raju Das with some kind of assurance.
