Narendra Modi says ‘Thanks’ to People of Gujarat
TNI Bureau: Narendra Modi, who is set for third term as the Chief Minister, said ‘Thanks’ to the people of Gujarat for casting their votes in favour of his BJP party that came to power. Addressing the crowd at Ahmedabad, Modi thanked the government employees for willing to do extra work for the government.
When Modi began his speech, the crowds cheer for the leader to see him. Modi’s first speech after the polls seems the pitch for 2014.
Modi said that the results of the Gujarat polls proved that the voters in the country know what is right and wrong for them. The results also showed that the voters are matured and people have voted keeping their future in mind. They did not want to see the situation they had faced in the 1980s.
“The voters have made the government more accountable. The heroes of my victory are my six crore Gujaratis. It is the support of the people that gives me the strength to take right decisions. This is a victory of the people of entire country. We are here because of those who struggled for the Bharatiya Janata Party”, he said.
Taking on the opposition Congress, he suggested them to think of the country, not to waste time in criticising the government in developmental works.
Satirising the political analysts, he said, “The pandits on Indian television channels are yet to digest BJP’s win in Gujarat. This is a hat-trick…why can’t anti-Gujarat campaigners realise this fact”.
He said that he took all the criticism as rocks and finally he was voted to power by the help of the rocks. He said that the victory has doubled his self-confidence. “The next five years are dedicated to the people of Gujarat. Bless me so that I don’t commit any mistake in future”, he said.
“In last 10 years, I have taken lots of hard decisions. It may be hurt to some of my voters, even some of my colleagues…. But it was the blessings of almighty that the time has come the dissent also supported my hard decision”, he said.
“It is a milestone, because we fought the election based on development card”, he further said. Let’s make such a developed Gujrat, if there is any need of the people of any part of the state, that can able to fulfill that demand….. in this way we need to serve our mother India, he said.
He conveyed his special thanks to women (addressing them as mothers and sisters) of Gujarat for winning his party to power. He also thanked the people, who did not vote the BJP, saying he will try his best to reach out to them by doing more developmental works in the state. He said that he did not want anyone’s certificate after the victory. He will move to Delhi on December 27 to meet his party men there.
“Na Mujhe Rukna hai, na thakna hai, bas mujhe aapki sapno ko pura karna hai (neither I will stop, nor take rest, but only to stand up and fulfill your dreams in the coming days)”, he ended his 45-min victory-speech in Hindi with brave note.
