Notwithstanding what some critics believe in this fast changing world order, Russian President Vladimir Putin made things clear – he supports Indian PM Narendra Modi as well as China’s control over Taiwan.

Putin hailed Modi as a ‘Patriot’ who has transformed India as a global power while lauding his ‘Make In India’ initiatives.
At the same time, Putin sent a strong message to China-baiters by making it clear that ‘Taiwan is China’. This is a fact and can’t be altered by mere activism.
India must take advantage of this situation and use Putin’s influence to isolate Pakistan – herculean task.
