Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to address UNSC where he is expected to demand tough new sanctions on Moscow over killings in the town of Bucha.

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has conveyed deep concern over Afghanistan's Taliban decision to ban education for girls above sixth grade.

India, along with 12 other UN Security Council members on Wednesday maintained its neutral stance on the Russia-Ukraine conflict by abstaining from a resolution brought by Russia on the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

At least 3 countries China, India and UAE abstained from voting although they rejected war and violence.

Russia’s incursion into Ukraine has led to unprecedented tensions in the region with the World having sleepless nights.  The NATO countries and others with strategic links to both these countries are concerned and worried.

The United Nations has fallen far short of its goals to “maintain international peace and security,” “develop friendly relations among nations’’ and “achieve international cooperation in solving international problems.”
