A day after taking oath, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday chaired the first meeting of his Union Cabinet and allocated portfolios to Ministers.

Recently, Amit Shah also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and held discussions informing him about the blueprint being prepared for change in the party and government.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the longest serving Petroleum Minister of India, in his previous portfolio, took charge as the new Education Minister of India.

Dharmendra Pradhan gets Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. Ashwinin Vaishnaw gets Railways, IT & Telecommunications. Hardeep Singh Puri became the new Petroleum & Natural Gas Minister.

Rajya Sabha member and former Odisha-cadre IAS officer Ashwini Vaishnaw and Mayurbhanj MP Bishweswar Tudu from Odisha inducted into Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Union Cabinet.
