Narendra Modi wishes ‘Happy Diwali’ from Siachen
For the first time in India’s history, the country’s Prime Minister went to the icy heights of Siachen Glacier, spent time with the brave heart soldiers and wished the nation a ‘Happy Diwali’. And, yes, only Narendra Modi could do it.
The Prime Minister, who shared precious moments with the jawans in Siachen to boost their morale on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, arrived in Srinagar and will spend time with flood-affected people in the valley. He will also meet BJP, National Conference and PDP leaders. The Congress Party has boycotted the PM’s visit.
Here are the tweets of MP Modi from Siachen:
“From the icy heights of the Siachen Glacier & with the brave Jawans & Officers of the Armed Forces, I wish all of you a Happy Diwali”.
“Perhaps this is the 1st time that a PM has got the wonderful opportunity of spending time with our Jawans on this auspicious day of Diwali”.
“Wished President Pranab Mukherjee a very Happy Diwali from Siachen! Am sure this would be among the most unique greetings Pranab Da received”.
