1) The BJP made an issue of Rahul Gandhi taking a nap during the most important price rise debate in Lok Sabha today. The Congress went on a defensive to defend Rahul and said he was not sleeping, but listening to debate very carefully during a catnap.

3) Bharti Airtel International Netherlands, a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, has signed a deal with Helios Towers Africa (HTA) to sell over 3,100 telecom towers in four African nations.
4) Stuart Binny made his Test debut against England at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. India won the toss and elected to bat first in the first Test match. After a good partnership between Murli Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara, India lost two quick wickets after Lunch. India were 138/3 when reports last received. Vijay was batting on 72. Pujara scored 38. Anderson took two wickets.
