TNI Bureau: Pakistan government might be claiming that Hindus are safe in the country and they are not the victim of any discrimination or torture, but the exodus of Hindus from the neighboiuring country has raised question, are they really safe? It is high time that government of India should take some serious stand on the issue.
Recently about 171 Hindus have arrived in Jodhpur from Pakistan after a difficult journey to seek a refugee status in India for the sake of self respect, religious freedom and their children’s future. As per these people, forced labor, unpaid or low-paid working conditions, kidnappings for ransom, abductions and rapes of girls, forced conversions, restrictions on religion and robberies are the virtual reason of this exodus.
Approximately 4.2 million Hindus live in Pakistan. A report prepared by Daily Times has revealed that around 7,000 to 10,000 Pakistani Hindus had left the country in the last two years. Out of them, around 450 families, comprising more than 3,000 members, have migrated to India in the last four months following conversion cases of one after another Hindu girl in Sindh.

Especially after the Rinkal Kumari’s case the situation has worsened in Pakistan. The migrants have reportedly said that court of law was their last hope of justice, but when in this case it did not provide relief to Hindu victims, it developed a sense of insecurity among the Hindus.
Hence, now it is hard time on the part of the government of India to talk to their counterparts in Pakistan to stop this atrocious and discriminatory treatment of Hindus in Pakistan.
Recently Pakistan External Affairs minister Hina Rabbani Khar made it clear that the country pays respect to human values. But the question is why the Hindus are heading for India reportedly out of fear if there is no discrimination.
