BJP begins Nationwide Protests against Shinde’s Remarks
TNI Bureau: The BJP launched nationwide protests from today against Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde’s Hindu terror remarks. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj will hold demonstration at Jantar Mantar in Delhi opposing the remarks.
The decision to hold protests was taken by Rajnath Singh after being elected as the party president on Wednesday. He said that the statement made by Shinde shows that the government is poisoning the atmosphere just for vote bank with communalism. It also proved that the government led by Congress is not serious about terrorism, rather criticising the RSS and saffron party.
Shinde drew flak from the BJP after he accused the party and RSS of promoting “Hindu terrorism” through their training camps. Recalling the incidents like Samjhauta express, Mecca Masjid and Malegaon blast, Shinde alleged that the Hindu group was behind the strikes.
The BJP opposed the statement demanding an apology from Sonia Gandhi. Even the party leaders said that the matter will be raised in the Parliament during the budget session.
