Pujara, Vijay shine while Sehwag disappoints
It seems Team India is safer in the hands of youngsters. There is no Gambhir in the team and Virender Sehwag yet again disappointed. But, Cheteshwar Pujara and Murali Vijay took India forward with an unbeaten partnership of 294 and helped the team take a firm control of the Hyderabad Test.
Pujara hit his fourth hundred in just 11 tests, while Vijay hit his second test hundred. Pujara is batting on 162. Vijay is on 129. India finished Day 2 at 311/1 in reply to Australia’s first innings total of 237/9.
Sehwag flopped for the third time in a row, leaving many unanswered questions. Seems he is testing India’s patience with a series of failures and his reluctance to learn from mistakes. It won’t be a surprise if he is booted out after the Hyderabad Test.
