Delhi Gangrape: Police to file 1,000-page Chargesheet in Court
TNI Bureau: The Delhi police is preparing the draft chargesheet in the gangrape of 23-year-old para-medical student, who closed her eyes after fighting bravely for 13 days. The 1,000-page charge sheet is expected to be submitted in the court on Thursday.
Police is expected to cite 30 witnesses in connection with the case. After the death of the brave heart girl, the entire nation questioned on the duty of the police. The girl was brutally gangraped by six people in a moving bus on December 16 night, was thrown out of the vehicle near Mahipalpur.
She fought for life in India and Singapore, but no doctors could save her. The case will be heard in a fast track court.
Meanwhile, the protests demanding the justice for her and safety for women continued in Delhi. People are paying tribute and praying for her soul to rest in peace.
Since, the government is facing criticism from all ends over the brutal incident; it has announced financial aid of Rs 15 lakh for the kin of the victim, who wanted to live even after being brutally tortured. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting presided over by chief minister Sheila Dikshit.
The government also offered a job to a family member of the girl. Her family hopes that law will be changed in India and the rapists would get strong punishment.
