Vice President hands over TAPI replica to Petroleum Minister
The Vice President of India, Shri M. Hamid Ansari has handed over to the Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas (Independent Charge), Shri Dharmendra Pradhan the replica of Capsule containing signatures of leaders of Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India which marks the Groundbreaking Ceremony (on December 13, 2015) of TAPI Gas Pipeline Project in Mary, Turkmenistan, here today.
The Vice President said that the replica was handed over to him on the occasion of Groundbreaking Ceremony of TAPI Gas Pipeline Project in Mary, Turkmenistan on December 13, 2015 in which the President of Turkmenistan, Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimohamedov, the President of Afghanistan, Mr. Ashraf Ghani and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Nawaz Sharif have participated. He said that the replica of Capsule contains a paper with signatures of the leaders of four nations participated in that Ceremony. The Vice President further said that the original document was put in the foundation of the TAPI Gas Pipeline as a piece of historical record for future. The replica should be kept in the right place, that is Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, he added.
