Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Cyclone-ravaged Visakhapatnam (Vizag) tomorrow to take stock of the situation. He may announce a special package for the state after assessing the damage. The Cyclone Hudhud had triggered massive damage in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and East Godavari districts.
The gusty winds up to 185 km per hour, caused widespread devastation in the port city of Vizag. However, the city is limping back to normalcy with rescue and restoration operations going on in full swing. Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu made an aerial survey of Vizag and other affected regions today.

The Vizag Airport has been badly affected by Cyclone Hudhud. It suffered damages to radar system and roof of the building. It may take a few days to start the flight operations at the airport. Around 250,000 people were evacuated during the cyclone and are still living in relief camps. The government is trying its best to restore power and communication services. A large number of houses, hutments and other facilities have sustained damage during the cyclone menace.
A large number of trees have been uprooted in these coastal Andhra districts. Efforts are on to clear those and restore communication facilities. At least five people died in Andhra Pradesh. Thanks to the rescue efforts of the government, the casualties were put at minimum. Andhra Pradesh CM has urged the centre and other states to step in and assist the state in the hours of crisis. The PM has assured all support to the state.
