TNI Bureau: While the government is taking initiatives to check crime against women after Delhi gangrape, another case reported in Bihar. A woman was gangraped and her dead body was found in a mango orchard in Bhagalpur district.

Police said that the victim (32) was travelling on the Brahmaputra Mail to Delhi from Alipore along with her son. When the train slowed down between Vikramshila and Kahalgaon stations, she tried to get down at Sahibganj. The woman was dragged to the mango orchard and gangraped by unidentified persons.
However, it is not clear why she got down from the train in the middle of her journey. Her dead body was found on Sunday. She was hung from a tree on Saturday. The body has been sent to the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital in Bhagalpur for postmortem.
