Uttarakhand Tragedy: More Bodies found in Kedar Valley
Over 160 bodies have been found so far in four days by police teams in the Kedar valley that was devastated by the Nature’s fury in June. The search operation will continue for the next few days in Junglechatti, Rambada, Gaurigaon and Bheembali areas of the hill state.
The bodies will be cremated with necessary rituals after DNA tests and post-mortem. The bodies seem to be of devotees who climbed up to save themselves after the floods and landslides devastated on June 15. Several went missing in the jungles and many died due to extreme cold there and no food.
Around 400 bodies have been cremated so far. Police expected to find more bodies from the region.
The Kedarnath temple will be opened after special prayers scheduled for September 11.
