Trinidad & Tobago beat Titans; Hyderabad out of CLT20
The Trinidad & Tobago registered a six-run victory over the Titans under D/L method to take a step forward towards semifinal. After the washout of the crucial game between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Brisbane Heat, both teams crashed out of CLT20.
T&T posted 188/6 in 20 overs. Evin Lewis (70), Darren Bravo (63) and Navin Stewart (23) were the top scorers. Marchant de Lange took three wickets. When rains stopped play, Titans were 153/6 in 17 overs and lost the match by six runs under D/L.
Henry Davids (42), Rudolph (31), AB de Villiers (23*) and Behardien (29) failed to secure a victory for their team. Sunil Narine and Lendl Simmons took two wickets each. Evin Lewis was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
The match between Hyderabad and Brisbane was called off without a ball being bowled due to heavy rains in Ahmedabad. Titans will qualify for the semifinals if Trinidad & Tobago lose to Chennai Super Kings by a huge margin. And, T&T needs to beat Chennai or lose by less than 5 runs to qualify for the semis.
