Sony Xperia Z Ultra Available in India @ Rs 46,990
Sony launched the Xperia Z Ultra phablet in India for Rs. 46,990 on 30th July 2013 in New Delhi. Besides being the biggest full HD phone in the world, the phablet is waterproof and ultra-slim. The device will be available in India from 2nd August 2013.
The Xperia Z Ultra has a 6.4-inch display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution and 344 ppi pixel density. It is powered by 2GB of RAM, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2GHz and an Adreno 330 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. The Xperia Z Ultra supports microSD cards up to 64GB and comes with internal storage of 16GB. It is powered with an 8MP Exmor RS camera that can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps and a front-facing 2MP camera for video chats and supports connectivity features including 3G, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, DLNA and Bluetooth 4.0. The device is powered with a 3050 mAh Lithium Ion battery that can provide 16 hours of continuous talktime on 3G.
Akin to its predecessor Xperia Z smartphone, the Xperia Z Ultra Phablet is IP57 certified to be dust and water proof and also water resistant up to a depth of 1 meter and up to 30 minutes. Despite its large size, the gadget is relatively slim with 6.5 mm (width) and weighs about 212 grams.
Further, Sony claims that the Xperia boasts of Triluminos display technology which results in colours looking rich and natural.
As per the company the phablet will be available in India in multiple colours including Black, White and Purple.
Indian buyers of the Xperia Z Ultra will get free access to the BigFlix movie streaming app for a month and the full version of Asphalt 7 racing game. Sony has partnered with Vodafone India to offer 8GB of free data download for a period of two months with this device.
