BSP-SymbolMayawati slammed the Akhilesh Yadav government in Uttar Pradesh, accusing him of failure in giving safety and security of common people. She believes that once Uttar Pradesh is divided into four states, the governance will be easier and smoother. Mayawati also sought separate statehood status for Vidarbha and Gorkhaland.

The former Uttar Pradesh CM, who considers herself as the ‘Mesiah of Dalits’, has further added that the four new states should be Uttar Pradesh, Purvanchal, Bundelkhand and Harit Pradesh. It would be interesting to see whether the Congress, BJP and Samajwadi Party would suppose an idea to divide Uttar Pradesh into four parts.
