Sony Xperia Ion – A Review
TNI Bureau: Despite the budget feature, the major beef with the Sony Xperia Ion is its OS, as it runs Android Gingerbread 2.3.7. and not the Android 4. 0 Ice cream sandwich, the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system. The phone is priced at $99.
The Sony Xperia Ion Android Smartphone has lot of great features like a beautiful 720p display, an excellent 12MP camera, NFC, LTE 4G, HDMI out with a TV app, 16 GB of storage, 1 GB of RAM and runs on a 1.5GHz Snapdragon CPU with Adreno 220 graphics.
One drawback to the Xperia Ion’s design is its lack of a removable battery. Also, below the display are four traditional Android Gingerbread symbols for Menu, Home, Back, and Search but they don’t function as per the images drawn.
The device has solid call and picture snapping quality. The camera takes amazingly sharp and accurate pictures even in low light. The phone has brilliant colors. One special feature with the camera, is taking a picture in 1 second or less even when in lock mode. The digital keyboard is very accurate and very responsive.
Hence, the Sony Xperia Ion looks like a good Android deal at par with the budget cost.
