SC gives Clean Chit to Chidambaram in 2G case
TNI Bureau: In a huge relief to Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram in 2G case, the Supreme Court on Friday turned down Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy’s plea seeking a CBI probe against him.
The apex court made it clear that Chidambaram had not abused his position and there is no proof that shows Chidambaram’s involvement in the 2G spectrum allocation.
Not accepting the court’s verdict, Swamy said that he will file a review petition against Chidambaram. He had filed a petition seeking to make the Congress minister a co-accused in the 2G spectrum case.
Swamy said that Chidambaram and another accused A Raja, had worked together in the allocation of 2G.
