Naveen Jindal accuses Zee News of Extortion
TNI Bureau: In a dramatic development, Congress MP and Steel tycoon Naveen Jindal has sought to expose the ZEE News by releasing a video tape. Jindal accused ZEE TV of extortion attempts. His company Jindal Steel and Power Limited has also filed a police case against Zee TV.
Naveen Jindal claimed that Zee News Editors asked his company to spend Rs 100 crore on advertising, promising to run favourable stories. According to Jindal, ZEE News initially telecast negative stories on coalgate against his company and when their official met the reporter and editors, they demanded Rs 100 crore.
Meanwhile, ZEE TV has rubbished all allegations and said that they never wanted any money from Jindal in terms of advertisements. The Zee Group defended its journalists shown in the sting operation. According to Zee News, the Jindal Group offered a bribe to stop bad press and that their editors prepared a dummy contract to expose them.
it is indeed a shocking affair ,if it is proven true such channels
should be banned with immediate effect.Such incidents will lead to lose
the trust of common man on media because is one source through which so
many corrupt exposed .and media is voice of common man
Every one seen the extortion attemp by Zee news personnel but not action taken against them.
