Homemakers to get Monthly Salary from Husbands!
TNI Bureau: Homemakers may soon get monthly salary from their husbands for performing the household tasks as the government is considering over a proposal that will make it mandatory for men to pay a certain percentage of their income to the wives.
Normally it happens that the usual household works performed by the wife, the mistress of the house, are not considered as a money-making trade. But if the same works will be getting done through somebody from outside then nobody will do it for free.
Again, if a kid is put at a Creech, the parents need to pay an amount, but when the same service is done by the mother in the house, nobody goes to pay for the same.
Thus to provide the wives a certain amount of money for their work done at home, the government is planning to make some mandatory provisions. The proposal is being considered by Women and Child Development (WCD) ministry for socio-economic empowerment of homemakers.
During a survey conducted in this context, when the wives were asked about what they do, most of them said they do nothing. But truth is that what they do is purely income-generating.
Accordingly some NGO proposed for the present idea and the government is thinking over it.
