BSNL to launch WiFi Pocket Router at Rs 5,800
TNI Bureau: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is all set to launch a 3G WiFi Router today. BSNL, in association with Shyam Networks will launch this pocket router named ‘Winknet MF 50’ which carries attractive data plans to heighten the use of its 3G services.
The router will be available at all the BSNL stores for Rs 5,800 after the launch. The data plans will also be announced along with launch of the device.
Winknet MF 50, the 3G pocket router can convert the data signal connection to WiFi, allowing at least five users simultaneously for connecting WiFi enabled devices including phones, laptops and PCs.
The router is small enough to be carried around and hence is quiet useful during travelling.
The first pocket wireless router named the ‘W150’ had been introduced by ‘LAVA Mobiles back in September 2011 in the country.
Coming to the partnership of Shyam Networks and BSNL, they had earlier launched a 3G data card ‘Winknet’ in Uttar Pradesh.
BSNL had earlier also released Winknet 3G dongle, at a price of Rs 1,900 that also supports 2G connection besides 3G having with a download speed of 7.2 mbps and upload speed of 5.76 mbps.
