BJP walks out JPC on 2G Scam, slams Congress Members
TNI Bureau: The BJP members on Wednesday walked out of a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) meeting on 2G spectrum allocation and slammed the Congress for defending the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P Chidambaram in the scandal.
All the BJP members Yashwant Sinha, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Jaswant Singh, Gopinath Munde and Dharmendra Pradhan walked out of the meeting. They demanded Singh and Chidambaram to be called by the JPC to appear in connection with the 2G scam, which has caused a loss of Rs 1.76 lakh crore to the state exchequer.
Even the main Opposition has threatened to withdraw from the panel if Prime Minister, Finance Minister, Pulok Chatterjee (Principal Secretary to Prime Minister’s Office) and TKA Nair (Advisor to the Prime Minister) are not called to depose before the JPC.
After the Parliament was adjourned over the CAG report on coal block allocation, the BJP’s latest attack will spare no way for the government to breathe.
