Argentina move into FIFA World Cup Semifinals
After Germany and Brazil, Argentina became the third team to storm into the semifinals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. They defeated spirited Belgium 1-0 to book a berth in the last four. Argentina achieved the feat after a long gap of 24 years.
Higuain scored the solitary goal of the match. And, Belgian goal keeper conceded a goal only third time in this tournament. It was Higuain’s 22nd international goal and first in World Cup.
In the last quarterfinal match later tonight, the Netherlands will take on giant killer Costa Rica. The winner will take on Argentina in the second semifinal. Brazil and Germany will battle it out in the first semis.
