Mundali Boat Tragedy

The preliminary post-mortem report of the stranded elephant died in Mundali barrage tragedy in Mahanadi revealed that the Tusker died due to cardiac shock.

There seems to be no cohesive policy as regards to wildlife rescue as in this case and though it is a unique and isolated case of its kind.

The Odisha Government waited for a tragedy to happen before issuing the routine guidelines that could have been implemented long ago.
