The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday that a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a cyclone after October 22.

According to the latest update by the IMD, severe cyclonic storm Asani lies over Westcentral and adjoining SouthWest Bay of Bengal.
