Tendulkar met Sandeep Patil on Tuesday to discuss the issue. Patil reportedly asked him about his poor performance. Sachin was submissive and accepted that he was not scoring runs. He further asked the selectors to take a call him. But Patil said that the selectors have full faith on him and they believe that Sachin would score runs soon.

Even former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar defended Tendulkar, saying although he was going through a rough patch, the master blaster would return with a bang. Sachin had scored his last hundred in January 2011. He has played 15 Tests and 28 innings after that, but without a century.
