Samsung launches Galaxy-3 Tab in India
Samsung Electronics launched a series of Galaxy 3 Tablets in India on 18th July 2013 priced between Rs 17,745 to Rs 21,945. In the series two tablets have 8-inch screens and the other one has a 7-inch screen. All these three variants will be available for sale in the country from 21st July 2013 as per the company.
The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 sports a 7-inch WSVGA TFT display with 1024×600 pixels resolution and 169ppi pixel density and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Marvell processor. The device offers 1GB RAM and offers microSD card support. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and sports a 3 MP rear camera, a 1.3 MP front camera, 8GB of internal storage (expandable up to 32 GB) and is powered with a 4,000mAh battery. Connectivity options of the Tab 3 7.0 includes 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and microUSB 2.0. The tablet measures 9.9mm width and has a 4,000mAh battery. The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 costs Rs 17,745.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 has an 8-inch TFT screen with 1280x800p resolution and 189ppi pixel density. It is powered by Android 4.2 and sports a 1.5GHz dual-core Exynos 4412 processor, backed by 1.5GB RAM. It has a 5MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front camera. Powered by a 4,450mAh battery, the tablet has connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and microUSB 2.0. It has 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded using a microSD card. The device is also equipped with ‘Multi Window’ that allows the user to work on two apps simultaneously by splitting the screen into two, like watching a movie or chatting at the same time.
The 8-inch variant of Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 will be available in two variants such as 311 with 3G (voice and data) and 310 with WiFi capability and is priced at Rs 21,945 in India.
The series of Samsung Galaxy 3 tabs also offers ‘My Education Service’ where users can access to 2,000 e-books and 1,000 learning videos as well as content.
