“Rowdy Rathore” crosses Rs. 100 cr Mark at Box Office
TNI Bureau: Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha starrer “Rowdy Rathore” is the latest film to enter Rs 100 crore club. Akki, who had confined his roles in comedy films, now proved that he is Khiladi No 1.
The film has received positive response from the viewers as well as critics. The Telugu remake of ‘Vikramarkudu’ has collected Rs. 22 cr nett in second Weekend, taking the total to Rs. 101.5 cr nett.
The film has been doing well as both single screens and multiplexes. The fate of the film was predicted when “Rowdy Rathore” collected Rs. 48.5 crore in 3 days of the release, which was the Biggest non-holiday weekend.
Like WANTED, director Prabhu Deva has retained the originality of Telugu altering slightly in the remake. This is completely a masala film. The role of Akki has larger than life. The character, who triumphs all odds of life with bravery and strength, is challenging.
