Revolt in Delhi BJP over Narendra Modi
Delhi BJP Vice-President and well-known theatre personality Aamir Raza Husain, who openly criticised Narendra Modi in strongest possible words for his “puppy” remarks, has tendered his resignation from the party to save the party from further blushes.
While Raza Husain slammed the Congress and its policies and extended his full support and wishes to the BJP, he rejected Modi’s leadership, saying he won’t return to a party in which Modi rules the roost. He admitted his mistake of talking against a senior leader of the party, but expressed helplessness, saying he cannot accept a divisive politician like Modi as the leader.
Aamir Raza Husain, who is a friend of Delhi State Unit President Vijay Goel – an Advani loyalist, was appointed as the Delhi BJP Vice-President just two months ago despite the fact that Modi had emerged as the strongest and tallest leader of the party. His sudden outburst is seen as a well-planned to strategy by a section of BJP leaders to counter Modi’s growth.
