Kohli regains Form, India thrash England in Ranchi
TNI Bureau: Virat Kohli struck form at the right time, as India defeated England by 7 wickets in the third ODI in Ranchi to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series. India had lost (by 9 runs) the first ODI in Rajkot, but won the second ODI in Kochi by a huge margin (127 runs).
Earlier, Indian bowlers did well to restrict England at 155 in 42.2 overs, thanks to Ravindra Jadeja (three wickets), Ishant Sharma (two wickets) and R Ashwin (two wickets). Chasing a victory target of 156, India lost Rahane for a duck. But, Gambhir (33), Yuvraj (30) and Kohli (77*) batted well to see the team through.
India reached 157/3 in 28.1 overs. For England, James Tredwell took two wickets. Kohli was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
