Jadeja stuns RCB, wins it for CSK
Ravindra Jadeja, who recently got a “Sir” tag, needed two runs off the last ball to win the game for Chennai Super Kings against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He tried to hit RP Singh for a six, but got caught at third man. Kohli, RP Singh and other RCB players erupted into joy and celebration. But when they looked at the umpire, they were shocked. It was a massive no-ball and Chennai won the match with one ball to spare.
Earlier, Chennai won the toss and elected to field first. Despite Gayle’s early exit, Bangalore scored 165/6 in 20 overs. Virat Kohli (58) and AB de Villiers (64) were the top scorers. Mayank Agarwal made 24. For Chennai, Chris Morris took three wickets.
Chasing a victory target of 166, Chennai lost Mike Hussey and Murali Vijay early and were 10/2 at one stage. However, Suresh Raina (30), Badrinath (34), Dhoni (33) and Jadeja (38*) helped the team to score 166/6 in 19.5 overs and win the match by 4 wickets. Ravi Rampaul took three wickets. Syed Mohammad Jamaluddin claimed two wickets. Jadeja was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
