IPL 6: Chennai Super Kings beat KXIP
The Chennai Super Kings started their winning campaign in the IPL 6 after losing the first match to Mumbai Indians, as they scored a comprehensive 10-wicket victory over the Kings XI Punjab last night.
Chennai won the toss and elected to field first. Punjab managed to score just 138 in 19.5 overs. David Hussey was the top scorer at 41, while Gurkeerat Singh made 31. Dwayne Bravo took three wickets. Dirk Nannes and Chris Morris took two wickets each.
Chasing a victory target of 139, Chennai openers made a mockery of KXIP bowling attack by adding the required runs in 17.2 overs and helping the team win the match by 10 wickets. Vijay remained unbeaten on 50, while Mike Hussey remained not out on 86. Hussey was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
