Faisalabad Wolves granted Visa to play in CLT20
Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh stepped in, as the Faisalabad Wolves was granted visa to play in the upcoming Champions League Twenty20 to be held later this month. The PM rejected the Home Ministry’s earlier assessment that Pak cricketers face security risk in India.
The Home Ministry has been asked to get in touch with the state governments to make necessary arrangements for the Pakistani cricketers so that they can play in India without any fear or security concerns.
The government was determined not to create any hurdle in the Indo-Pak sporting ties. Faisalabad Wolves is led by Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq. The team emerged victorious in the national T20 Championship to qualify for the CLT20 2013.
