Even as they showed great consistency in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and made an entry to their fourth straight and fifth overall final in the tournament, the Chennai Super Kings have been under the spot-fixing scanner after the arrest of Bollywood actor Vindoo Dara Singh.
After Vindoo’s revelation, CSK CEO and BCCI President N Srinivasan’s son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan, who could be involved in the scandal, was summoned by the Mumbai Crime Branch to appear before them. Vindoo, known as Jack in betting circles, has reportedly spilled the beans.

Vindoo has named three other cricketers of Chennai Super Kings, including a senior player. The Mumbai Police are verifying his claims and have refused the divulge the names immediately. It is being learnt that a senior cricketer of the Indian Team may be arrested in a day or two.
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi has come under scanner for her links to Vindoo Dara Singh. Vindoo has full access to CSK lounge and was even seen with Sakshi during a match. The police are investigating how Vindoo suddenly won Rs 17 lakh from betting in IPL 6 whereas he lost around Rs 1 crore during the previous seasons.
