At least three Army personnel were killed in an encounter with the militants in Tral area of Pulwama district in Kashmir. The incident took place when the troops tried to launch an offensive against the militants stationed in the village.

The militants were reportedly hiding in the nearby forest. The opened fire at the troops as soon as they cordoned off the village. The terrorists fled along with the service rifles of the jawans.
A massive manhunt has been launched to trace the militants.
