Champions Trophy: India beat New Zealand 4-2
TNI Bureau: India defeated New Zealand 4-2 in their second match of the Champions Trophy to move to the top of Pool A. India had beaten England 3-1 in the opening match in Melbourne yesterday. They now have six points from two matches.
For India, Akashdeep Singh (10th min), Gurwinder Singh Chandi (14th), V R Raghunath (25th) and Danish Mujtaba (65th) scored the goals. They had conceded a self-goal to New Zealand, while the second goal was scored by Nicholas Wilson.
In another match, England caused an upset win of 4-1 over Olympics champions Germany. India will take on Germany on Tuesday.
