Cryptocurrency traded in negative territory on May 6, 2022 as the global crypto market cap dropped 7.36% in a day, currently standing at $1.68 trillion.

 Gold rates in India have struggled amid the global rates today as the prices have declined as compared to yesterday.

The 30-share BSE Sensex dived 879 points or 1.58 per cent to 54,823 in early trade, while the broader NSE Nifty moved 253 points or 1.52 per cent down to trade at 16,429.

The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 33 points or 0.06 per cent to close at 55,702, while the broader NSE Nifty edged 5 points or 0.03 per cent higher to close at 16,683.

The 30-share BSE Sensex rebounded 531 points or 0.95 per cent to 56,200 in early trade, while the broader NSE Nifty moved 146 points or 0.88 per cent up to trade at 16,824.

The second phase of the mandatory hallmarking of gold will come into force from June 1, 2022, the consumer Affairs Ministry said in a statement.
