Adarsh scam Accused Kanhaiyalal Gidwani dies
TNI Bureau: Former Congress MLA Kanhaiyalal Gidwani, who was the prime accused in the Adarsh Society scam, died following a heart attack on Tuesday in Mumbai. He was 64. He was undergoing treatment at the Breach Candy Hospital.
Gidwani was chargesheeted by the CBI in May last year for his role in the Adarsh Society scandal in Colaba. He was also accused of paying Rs 1.25 crore to the financial consultant JK Jagiasi to influence CBI officials, who were investigating the case.
