Inauguration ceremony of the Training Programme on Gents Garment Making was held today at the Sinapali Handloom Cluster in Nuapada.
Organized by the Kalinga Kusum Foundation (KKF) under the SFURTI Scheme of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, the programme aims to train 40 women in the art of making gents garments.

This initiative is part of KKF’s ongoing efforts to promote women’s empowerment by providing skill development and livelihood opportunities to marginalized women. By equipping them with garment-making skills, the programme seeks to enhance their economic independence and enable them to contribute meaningfully to their households and communities.
The event was graced by the presence of BDO, Sinapali Karmi Oram; GM, DIC Nuapada, Samir Muduli; AIO, Sinapali, Anand Behera; Sarpanch, Sinapali, Sunita Meher; and senior artisans Bhaskar Kasyap and Hiradhar Meher. The dignitaries also visited the Common Facility Centre of the cluster and interacted with the trainees, appreciating their efforts and encouraging their active participation in this transformative initiative.
