Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal and CFO Ned Segal were immediately fired and left the Twitter building.

Elon Musk on Friday put his $44 billion Twitter deal on hold amid concerns of an increase in the number of fake or spam accounts on the platform. 

Musk bought a 9% stake in Twitter in April, then offered to buy the whole company with a mission of "preserving", free speech.
