Fresh protests erupted in the crisis-hit Sri Lanka on Wednesday after a mob of angry citizens stormed the PM's residence in Colombo, demanding resignation of the acting President Wickremesinghe.

Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has declared a nationwide public emergency late on Friday following violent protests over the worst economic crisis in the Country.
